BraunPrize 2009 Deadline Note
Hi All,
it has been quiet here on this blog over the last two months, but with the new year of 2009 we’re gaining momentum as the submission deadline is coming closer with January 31, 23:59 hrs. as latest submission time.
While all the relevant dates and links for your submission can be found here on this website I’ll list them here as well once more: You can submit either via Online-Upload or by submission via mail/courier by simply clicking one of the links above.
Then very soon we’ll meet for the 1st jury session at the town hall of Kronberg close to Braun’s headquarters on March 16-18, 2009. Again I’m quite excited to be part of the jury sessions and meet the BraunPrize 2009 jury members (more information about the jury members as well as the BraunPrize in general can be found in this PDF ~ 2,5 MB).
Personally I’m looking forward to meeting Anna Kirah as she is the only member of the jury without a traditional Design background. From my view this gives discussions a more interdisciplinary touch and enriches the quality of collaborative decisions. Anna Kirah holds a graduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oslo, and a graduate degree in Psychology from the University of Washington. More to be found on her here >>>. It’s needless to say that I will share information on the other jury members as well in future postings!
After all similar to my reports from the BraunPrize 2007 for this iteration of the BraunPrize I do again plan to get the jury members in front of my camera at the end of each jury session trying to capture their (overall!) observations and impressions about the BraunPrize 2009 and your submissions. This might soothe your curiosity a bit until late summer ;-)
Accordingly keep this blog in your RSS Reader and stay tuned for some updates to be shared over the next months. In case you should have any questions or remarks feel free to drop a comment on this posting and we’ll get back to you. In the meantime share the love and spread the news about the BraunPrize and this blog in particular ;-)
