As you might have noticed Braun is promoting the BraunPrize competition not only via its BraunPrize website, but also via this blog.

However since last year a wider audience is also being addressed by partnering with the global design hub Core77 from NYC. Similar to last year part of this promotion programme is winning a trip to Germany and being our guest at the 17th BraunPrize Competition 2009 “Envision Conscious Design”.

Last year you were supposed to participate in a small quiz, but this year we’ve gone slightly more creative ;-) Accordingly this year Core77 set up a small microsite where you can submit a photo that inspires you most.

Images submitted to the competition will be judged on the following criteria:

• Provides powerful inspiration
• Subject matter and content
• Composition, design and execution
• Concise and clear explanation

Images with the most popular votes will then be short-listed and moved on to final judging. Representatives from Braun and Core77 will select 1 Grand Prize Winner and 3 Runners Up.

The Grand Prize winner of the competition will win a trip to attend the BraunPrize Awards Ceremony on September 16th, 2009, in Kronberg, Germany. As part of this opportunity they will also receive a tour of the BraunCollection and have the chance to meet representatives from the Braun design team. In addition they will take home a selection of complimentary Braun products.

The deadline for submitting your photos is: 11:59 PM EST February 8th, 2009. So submit your photo now!

After all please do not mix up the deadline of this photo competition with the official deadline of the BraunPrize 2009 competition itself!

Accordingly the deadline of the BraunPrize 2009 competition is: 31st January 2009! As last year you can submit your design up to the very last minute by using the Online-Upload feature supplied via the BraunPrize servers.
