Next Steps BraunPrize 2009
Now that the first jury session is over I’m thankful for those of you who followed the jury session updates via my previous blog posting. Special thanks go to those of you who left a comment and expressed their interest in what we are doing here!
Certainly we know that those of you who have submitted their work are curious to know whether or not their design has made it to the next round ;-) So instead of making the simple complex let me cite from the BraunPrize Newsboard that is edited by Gerlinde Kress:
” … the eminent judging panel has selected the 58 outstanding projects from 16 nations that will progress to the second round of evaluation, held on June 8th – June 10th, 2009 in Kronberg.
Those selected will now be asked to submit a physical model of their design till end of May. The design model and additional information will be the basis of the assessment in the second jury session. This session will be also be broadcasted live at www.braunprize.com and live blogged via http://www.braunprizeblog.com
All other participants will also be informed about their result by e-mail within the next week . The final result of the BraunPrize 2009 will be published at the BraunPrize Award Ceremony and opening of the exhibition at Braun in Kronberg on September 16, 2009.”
So from my end I’d like to congratulate all of you you’ve made it to the second stage of this competition and also express my respect to those of you whose journey ended at this point :-(
After all I’d thought you still might be interested in getting to know the jury members a little bit better I’ve recorded three video interviews with the ‘external’ BraunPrize 2009 jury members: Anna Kirah, Florian Seiffert and Kazuo Tanaka. So first in row is Florian Seiffert!
